|
CRUDE palm oil (CPO) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today on concerns of rising stock and weakening sentiment of the commodity.
Many factors contibuted to the downtrend performance today such as declining crude oil prices and poor vegetable oil performance on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). Both palm oil and soyoil competed for the same destinations and their prices always moved in tandem. The market was also under great pressure on anticipation of the price to fall to RM2,200/MT by Godrej International Ltd director Dorab Mistry.
At close, November delivery contract felll RM191 to RM2,409/MT. On the physical market, September South went down to RM2,450/MT from RM2,640/MT on Monday. - BERNAMA
