LATE session’s selling momentum reversed early gains in the CPO futures, as crude oil futures slipped lower towards the US$110 / barrel mark.
The October delivery contract fell RM13 to close at RM2,548/MT. Early session’s short-term technical inspired recovery in the October contract was meet by agressive selling above the RM2,640/MT levels. Price stalls above it and later pinned down below the RM2,600/MT support level.
With no fresh positive fundamental feature to influence prices today, the market is still subjected to further weakness towards the next lower objective levels at RM2,498/MT and/or RM2,444/MT in the immediate-term.
